A Joint Meeting is being arranged with the Cinderella Stamp Club for July 19th 2008 at the Royal Philatelic Society London. Details in next Belgapost.

AGM Proposed new arrangements for meetings.

During the meeting on 12th January 2008 there was a lengthy discussion regarding the future scope of circle meetings. It was resolved that the AGM should be invited to endorse:

1. a reduction in the number of meetings at Regents College to three,

2. the meeting at Autumn PHILATEX to continue but with improved content,

3. attempt to find an alternative venue,

4. two weekend meetings to be arranged with the additional meeting having more of a business agenda than the current partially social event, ideally the second weekend meeting would be held in Belgium on alternate years,

5. the annual lunch to be abandoned.

SPAM - The increasing level of SPAM experienced by officers necessitates removal of all but the Secretary's email link - sorry for any inconvenience.

Subscriptions : We now have a bank account in Belgium and Euro Zone members may pay into that account. Details may be obtained from the Secretary at chrishowe@skanderbeg.fsnet.co.uk.

We need to get input from visitors so we have opened four new pages:

1. Question and Answer Page: Just send your question on any aspect of Belgian philately to the Secretary and it will be posted on the page. The Circle's experts will endeavour to help you but anyone may chip in just send you comments to the Secretary.

2. Interesting Covers: If you would like your cover posted just send a scan to the Secretary. Any comments on the cover can also be sent.

3. LINKS: That is links to other organisations which may be of interest. Some of these are dealers or auction dealers and/or host sites so naturally the Circle cannot vouch for their activities and cannot accept any responsibility for their actions.

4. Research: Can you help fellow collectors. At the moment we are seeking information about the bisect of the railway parcel stamp CF204 to provide a 3 franc stamp for franking soldiers' parcels in 1939/40. If you have any information just send it to the Secretary.  If you have any ideas for research in other areas just let us know.
